The Client Acquisition team (CA) is the new to bank business development group that supports Commercial Banking (CB), Major Client Group (MCG), and Regional & Agribusiness Banking (RAB). This area acts as the conduit for new to bank customers for all financial services. CA’s focus is on medium to large private companies or Publicly Listed businesses.
Do work that matters
At the forefront of business origination and deal execution, you will specialise in identifying and developing new business lending opportunities, primarily for regional commercial businesses with revenue $50m-$150m. You will be instrumental in driving our direction and harnessing valuable client partnerships, business relationships and new-to-bank opportunities.
Ideally you will be based in Geelong or Bendigo, however we can consider any location within VIC provided you are open to regular travel into our regional locations.
More specifically, you will:
Identify opportunities, pursue and acquire new profitable clients for the bank by using your networks and referral sources
Prepare and manage end-to-end new business transactions and ensure a seamless handover to relationship teams
Develop strong relationships with internal teams in order to work effectively and collaboratively
Build and maintain strong referral networks to support origination activity
Please note: This role does not involve portfolio management and focuses on origination only.

A proven track record of high performance, supported by flexible working arrangements
Origination success with new-to-bank commercial or emerging corporate clients across diversified industries
A strong established network, and business development skills to leverage that
Strong project management and transaction execution skills
The ability to build strong internal relationships, professional presentation and strong influencing skills
Strong credit risk analysis skills
