Job Overview 

Manage and support a team of Data Management professionals to produce databases that meet customer requirements. This role will serve as a people leader and also work as a Project Manager in clinical data management projects.

Essential Functions

  • Review and guide Data Management deliverables (CRF/e-CRF, database design, validation, Data Management Plan).

  • Provide technical advice and solutions to internal and external customers.

  • Ensure staff training and compliance with procedures and project scope.

  • Identify and address staff development needs; mentor team members.

  • Provide operational input into proposals and participate in proposal defenses.

  • Hold bi-monthly meetings with direct reports to discuss project status, timelines, financials, risks, and training.

  • Develop and implement plans to improve employee engagement.

  • Collaborate with project leads on scheduling, staffing, and technological needs.

  • Communicate effectively between leadership and teams.

  • Serve as a substitute or ensure coverage during staff absences.

  • Participate in Bid Defenses, Kick-off Meetings, and support RFI/RFP and budgets.

  • Support internal and external audits and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • 7 years of relevant experience in Clinical Data Management, including people management.

  • Advanced level of English

  • Advanced knowledge of Data Management processes and systems.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

  • Effective mentoring and coaching skills.

  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
