Position: Senior Manager I, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duties: Analyze and mine structured and unstructured data to drive product centric and user centric insights. Proactively identify opportunities to leverage insights and drive product improvements across multiple functions throughout the organization. Design, monitor, and analyze A/B testing with statistical calculations, such as t-test and power analysis, using Python. Use SQL to query, retrieve, process, and analyze large amounts of clickstream and transactions data from different databases such as BigQuery, Google Cloud, and Hive. Provide data driven insights and deliver recommendations by leveraging a deep understanding of business problems and connecting data. Develop and implement creative solutions to support a variety of eCommerce products. Provide analytics and technical expertise to management, product managers, and data engineering teams to identify business opportunities and optimize product performance and engagement. Select the analytical modeling technique most suitable for structured, complex data and develop custom analytical models. Create effective reporting and dashboards by applying expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Splunk, and Looker to monitor product performance. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 1 year of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 3 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience using SQL and Python to query structured data from various databases, including Teradata, BigQuery, Google Cloud, and Hive. Experience conducting deep dive ad-hoc data analysis. Experience identifying key business metrics and designing measurement plans. Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing A/B testing experiments. Experience identifying user behavior patterns using statistical modeling techniques, including Regression Analysis and Decision Trees. Experience using SQL and Python to automate data pipelines that support dashboards. Experience conducting hypothesis testing using the following statistical methodologies: ANOVA, T-test, Pre/Post, and Diff-in-Diff. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.
Salary Range: $138,911/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
