A Brief Overview:
 

Endeavor Health seeks an Infectious Diseases Physician to join its busy thirteen-member Infectious Diseases Division. This is a unique opportunity to join a stable group of physicians within the Infectious Diseases Division with a strong reputation for providing excellent clinical care and works collaboratively with Microbiology, Molecular Diagnostics, and Pharmacy. Skill and an interest in teaching is encouraged.

What will you do:         

  • Tailor your practice to meet your clinical interests.
  • Train the infectious disease physicians of tomorrow with an academic appointment from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
  • Participate in department activities including Grand Rounds, committees such as quality, education, or quality of life, and department, division, and other meetings where your input will be valued
  • Provide medical patient care by interviewing, examining and treating of clinical patients in order to meet their medical needs
  • Determine which referrals are required based on examination and patient needs
  • Determine level of urgency of follow-up, referral/consultation appointments
  • Exercise final medical judgment in all issues of health care
  • Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients
  • Order studies, test and ancillary services
  • Document all services in patient medical record
  • Review on a regular basis long term cases that require ongoing medical attention
  • Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic requirements
  • Assist in the resolution of complaints, requests and inquiries from patients
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations

What you will need:

  • Fellowship trained
  • BC/BE by the ABIM or AOBIM
  • Valid state medical License as MD/DO or pending
  • Valid DEA/Controlled Substance License
