As an IT Technology Business Management (TBM) Analyst at Micron, you will be responsible for ideation, creation, and development of improvements association with our TBM Platform (Apptio).  This role resides within the IT TBMO governance organization, and partners with Finance IT to drive alignment and consumption of financial and total cost information across various data sources.  The role involves engagement and communication at all levels within the IT organization. The ideal candidate will possess an outstanding blend of business and technical skills; a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the configuration and ongoing maintenance of financial, labor, and total cost of ownership data models.

  • Assist in the development of data and governance strategies needed for our TBM platform.

  • Collaborate multi-functionally with all IT organizations to identify additional opportunities, including the definition of standardized governance metrics.

  • Development and solution creation in the form of reports and dashboard supporting the Technology Business Management Office initiatives across various capabilities including PMO, TBM, and Vendor Management.

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Outstanding analytic, conceptual, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Quick learner, detail oriented, aptitude for systems, and experience demonstrating detailed and strong ownership of work.

  • Strength in gathering functional and business requirements, rapidly translating that information into a working set of problem statements and finally the development of solutions.

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network, server utilization, virtual environments, cloud, storage, and application development.

  • Knowledge of financial management processes and standard methodologies such as budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling

  • Strong time management skills with attention to details; ability to work independently and manage multiple priority task assignments.

  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills as well as willingness for collaboration and assisting others.

Education:

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems or related fields and 4 years of experience in job offered or Technology Business Management related.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience with Apptio and/or ServiceNow

  • Knowledge and utilization of Microsoft PowerBI
