Job Title: Client Group Internship Programme

Location: Edinburgh

Role Type: Full-time Internship

Period: June - August 2025 (10 weeks)

What You'll Do

The Client Group is the face of abrdn to our clients. Our role is to understand what our clients need and to make sure we have the solutions in place to meet those needs. We engage with clients and prospective clients around the world, we help them invest in our products and we look after them throughout their investment journey. As part of their journey, we ensure that they have the right solutions in place, which meets their requirements.

In order to provide our clients with the best possible service we have a range of teams that sit within the Client Group, some of which include:

  • Institutional and Wholesale sales teams
  • Client Service and Client Relationship Management
  • Investment Marketing
  • Request For Proposal (RFP) teams
  • Insurance

Throughout the programme, you can access e-learning courses, a structured development plan, and networking opportunities with senior leaders.

What we look for

We are looking for students in their penultimate year from diverse academic backgrounds. Ideal candidates are performance-driven, client-focused, ambitious, strategic thinkers with a futurist mindset. Demonstrating inclusive and empowering leadership is essential.

Our Graduate Programme

Upon completing your internship, you’ll be considered for our 24-month rotational graduate programme, starting in September 2026. This programme gives graduates the chance to start their career in a highly supportive team environment, whilst gaining skills, experience along with support through further qualifications. Our graduate programme focuses on developing our talent to give the best possible start to their career and support aspirations to be the future leaders of abrdn. Our development curriculum focuses on 3 key learning mindsets- Client, Leadership & Strategic. Through engaging content, group coaching and learning experiences these mindsets will develop your capability and equip you with the skills and knowledge to set you up for success in your career.
