About Team

The Configurable Team at Lowe’s is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and lifecycle management of configurable and custom items, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness across Lowe’s systems. The team’s scope spans multiple categories including Blinds & Shades, Sheds, Playsets, and Vanity Tops and includes vendor onboarding, configuration support, and cross-functional collaboration to enable scalable operations and a seamless customer experience.

Job Summary:

The Manager of the Configurable Team at Lowe’s is responsible for developing and executing strategies aligned with corporate initiatives to optimize product configuration, vendor onboarding, and item lifecycle management within Lowe’s systems. This role leads a high-performing team in managing the setup, maintenance, and support of configurable and custom items across categories such as Blinds & Shades, Sheds, Playsets, and Vanity Tops, ensuring accuracy and data integrity in the item repository. The Manager drives continuous process improvements, promotes automation and agile methodologies, and collaborates cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Digital, IT, Marketing, and Operations to support mid- to long-term business strategies. Additionally, this position oversees team development, workload planning and quality delivery while serving as the key escalation point for complex configuration, vendor, and data issues. Ensuring compliance with data policies and audit readiness is also a critical aspect of the role. The Manager plays an essential role in enhancing customer experience by ensuring the configurable data and systems support seamless pricing, promotions, and operational readiness. Furthermore, the Manager works cross-functionally with leaders in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Digital, IT, Marketing, and Operations to ensure mid to long-term strategies and tactics are supported. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of Lowe’s item repository and enhancing the overall efficiency of item management processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts responsible for product configuration, catalog management, and pricing logic development.
  • Oversee the end-to-end configuration lifecycle, ensuring accurate onboarding, data validation, and maintenance of configurable/custom items.
  • Develop and execute strategies for efficient onboarding, rule development, pricing accuracy, and data validation aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Merchants, Digital, Supply Chain, UX, and Vendor teams to address business needs and resolve configuration challenges swiftly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on automation, data quality, and system enhancements to scale operations.
  • Oversee the planning, prioritization, and resource allocation of team activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements through robust documentation and process controls.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyzing trends, and reporting performance to senior leadership.
  • • Champion customer-centric approaches by integrating customer feedback to refine product configurations and operational procedures.
  • • Manage team resource allocation, performance reviews, and professional development to foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Understand merchandising processes impacting item status changes, pricing, inventory, and fulfillment to anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • Champion Agile methodologies and promote continuous improvement culture within the team.

Years of Experience

  • 10+ years of combined experience in Online/Digital/Site Merchandising teams
  • 4+ years of leadership experience
  • 7+ Retail industry experience

  • Graduate (in any discipline)

  • Must have a good understanding of eCommerce in retail segment across multiple channels (Online, mobile etc.),
  • Strong Digital Acumen – should demonstrate understanding of ecommerce user functionalities with the ability to   view site experience from an end user perspective
