Services Technology Kazakhstan is looking for IT Project Senior Analyst who will be responsible for software development projects for InCountry applications. Position also assumes projects and application management of local portfolio and ensuring controls are operating in compliance with prescribed policies and procedures. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual. Reporting to Technology Country Head.

Key responsibilities:

  • Management of development pipeline of application working with business to establish transparent prioritization process

  • Gathering of business requirements, analysis and clarifications directly with business users, preparation of project documentation based on Citi policies and standards

  • Preparation of functional requirements and direct communication with vendor development team

  • Estimation of analysis efforts

  • Control over vendor development team execution progress

  • Development test plan and UAT plan review

  • Participation in UAT, support of end users during UAT

  • Application management of local applications (Ownership and proper resolution of all Risk & Control items – end of version support, information security issues, etc)

  • Coordination with other technology partners including country technology and global technology teams

  • Fully comply with all corporate and external policies and standards

  • Report any issues requiring management attention appropriately

  • Perform other functions as requested by Management which are in line with position objective

Qualifications: 

•              Proven 3+ years’ experience in application support and/or projects

•              Excellent soft skills and constructive approach to solving problems

•              Self-motivated and capable to work with little oversight

•              Bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science, mathematics or related area

•              Intermediate or higher English (verbal and written)

•              Ability to manage several projects simultaneously

•              Ability to work in distributed team

•              Experience with data querying using SQL, web service testing using SOAP, Postman or curl

•              Understanding of existing applications architecture, hardware infrastructure and networking, information security aspects of modern applications operations

•              Prior experience in banking or fintech is a plus
