Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow CMDB Management

  • Maintain and update the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration data.
  • Develop and implement processes for CMDB data quality and integrity.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliation of the CMDB to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Data Imports and Quality Control

  • Design and execute data import processes to load data into the CMDB from various sources.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of imported data.
  • Develop and maintain scripts or tools to automate data import and quality control processes.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Create and manage reports and dashboards to provide insights into CMDB data and related IT assets.
  • Generate custom reports to meet the needs of different stakeholders within the organization.
  • Analyze data trends and provide recommendations for improving data management practices.

Development and Scripting

  • Utilize SQL to query and manipulate data for reporting and quality control purposes.
  • Develop scripts or applications to enhance the functionality and automation of CMDB-related tasks.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to integrate CMDB data with other IT systems and tools.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT, operations, and other departments to understand data requirements and deliver accurate reports.
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on using ServiceNow CMDB and related reporting tools.
  • Act as a point of contact for any CMDB-related inquiries or issues.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT data management, database administration, or a similar role.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management (ITSM) tools is highly desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, reporting, and data manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • Experience with data import/export processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and ITSM modules is preferred but not mandatory.
