This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
Organization & Team Overview
The HFC desk primarily manages outside plant issues, oversee maintenance, and proactively monitor plant events using HFC tools. The HFC desk will also function as a storm commander during weather-related events to ensure restoration of customer impacts on the outside plant. HFC Engineers provide technical support and in-depth assistance for escalations across the West Division.
Role Description
HFC Engineering is committed to solving HFC-related challenges by developing innovative solutions. Engineers streamline workflows, recommend tool enhancements, and provide training to increase efficiency, reduce customer effort, and improve network reliability. These improvements are achieved through in-depth analysis, project management, automation, and effective communication between Regional and Divisional teams. The role serves as a liaison, support resource, and subject matter expert for cross functional partners.
As an intern on this team, you will learn how to lead projects utilizing the Agile Methodology, enhance technical critical thinking skills independently, and enhance strategic thought processes that will help the company move forward.

In this role you will be tasked with the following:
Drive completion of tasks for department readiness on National initiatives
Organizing training documentation
Engage with HFC leadership on quality reviews and escalations

You will help drive efficiencies with our business initiatives and employee experience. Success in this role will be viewed by department readiness with new workflows and a more streamlined training course repository.
Job Responsibilities
This position is designed for an initiative-taking learner who works within a basic scope and follows standard decision-making guidelines. The role involves performing routine tasks with curiosity to innovate and limited application of engineering methodologies, relying on guidance and support to develop core skills and grow technical competency.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior (graduation dates between Winter 2026 - Summer 2027)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Base Pay: $24.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
