You will lead a group or multiple groups in the planning, organizing, development, implementing, testing, and maintaining of products through the software product lifecycle. This position reports to the VP of Engineering and coordinates with other Product Development and Product Management for the Product qualification and deliveries. You will provide technical direction for engineering teams to accomplish business goals.
Primary Responsibilities
Set technical and strategic direction for engineering Test teams and Managers
Researches, analyses, and monitors the new technologies in the Testing industry
Act as a mentor and train management staff in people management.
Develops and modifies our Testing processes and methods; focus on continuous improvement.
Directs a group of managers involved in Automation, Regression and Performance Test
Facilitates communication upward and across project teams.
Develops and manages operating budgets.
Develop and implement strategies that fulfil global market criteria and F5 corporate direction.
Represent department as needed: including project teams, task forces, audits, business or technical meetings with internal or external groups.
Employee management including but not limited to sourcing, interviewing and hiring for open positions, onboarding, establishing goals, assigning or delegating work.
Participate in continuous self-education in Engineering field (i.e., methodologies, tools) to keep abreast of industry direction and standards
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong hands-on expertise in Networking, Kubernetes and Container technologies and Security Domain, with a focus on Testing.
Expertise in software engineering and testing methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and managers
Experience in leading teams through the software Product Lifecycle including System and Performance testing for Feature and Maintenance Releases
Experience in interfacing with external facing teams and handling customer issues.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with all levels of management and across all areas.
Ability to inspire others
Strong analytical skills.
Strong leadership/mentoring abilities.
Experience developing and managing department budget(s).
Extensive experience with bug tracking and triage systems
Willingness and ability to adapt to new processes, ideas, and concepts.
Self-directed/self-motivated.
Qualifications
BE/ME in Computer Science or equivalent: with 15+ years of experience in software product development and engineering
Experience in testing and delivering Kubernetes based products and services
7+ years of people and Technical management
