The Business Technology Service Management Office is part of the global Business Technology team at Workday. Our mission is to enable all information technology and business teams to deliver world class services to Workday teams and customers. You will be joining a highly skilled and innovative team that is constantly questioning the status quo in a search of better, more intuitive, and scalable solutions.

About the Role

As an Atlassian Cloud Administrator, you will be in charge of keeping our Business Technology productivity tools and integrations running smoothly and evolving them as needed. You will be administering tools like Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and PagerDuty,  making sure they all play nicely together. Developing and implementing standardized workflows and teaching our teams about agile principles will also be part of your day. You will be playing a key role in building a brighter day for your fellow Workmates by bringing your knowledge and ideas to the table to help design and implement forward looking solutions, create exceptional end user experience and integrate new services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Jira, Confluence, Atlassian Access, and PagerDuty

  • Respond to end-user requests and educate them on best practices and existing processes

  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve resolve issues related to the BT productivity suite

  • Create and customize Jira projects including but not limited to workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes 

  • Create custom filters, dashboards, and reports based on user requirements

  • Create and manage user accounts and access

  • Develop automation rules and other custom scripts

  • Support and maintain existing integrations

  • Create and manage on-call schedule 

  • Ensure continuous improvement by leveraging the latest industry knowledge and recommending design improvements

  • Create technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

  • Apply knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with configuring and administering Atlassian Cloud Jira Software, Confluence, Atlassian Access, Trello, PagerDuty

  • 5+ years of experience with key third-party add-ons such as Scriptrunner, Rich Filters, and Structure or similar plugins

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring and administering PagerDuty

Other Qualifications

  • Proficiency in configuring Jira Projects using all elements - Roles, Permissions, Notifications, Screens, Custom fields, Security Schemes, Components, Releases

  • Proficiency in building complex custom workflows 

  • Deep understanding of automation engine and hands on experience building complex rules

  • Proficiency in using JQL statements and extracting data from Jira

  • Experience developing custom filters and dashboards specifically Agile metrics

  • Experience building boards using Structure

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Agile methodologies

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Hands on experience managing and configuring on-call schedules in PagerDuty

  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail in your work

  • Desire and ability to learn new technologies

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new situations and manage competing priorities

  • U.S. Bachelor or higher degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management or a closely related field of study.
