Loan and Lease Accountant

The Loan and Lease Associate implements solutions and influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures within the Accounting function.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Implements solutions to existing problems within the reporting team.

  • Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedures for implementation.

  • Recommends best practices in accounting policies and processes to business lines as needed.

  • Provides well-analyzed and defined recommendations on process improvements to the reporting team.

  • Ensures adequate controls, reporting, and documentation is maintained for supported applications.

  • Coaches and reviews work of junior level professionals as needed.

  • Influences and informs others regarding accounting policies, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems or a equivalent field

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems or a equivalent field preferred

  • 5+ Years of Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar field within the Banking or Financial Services Industry,


Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, including US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory reporting standards.

  • Proficient skills in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environment.

  • Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances.

  • Ability to influence others.

  • Ability to lead and coach junior level professionals.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees, including senior level management.

  • Ability to leverage technology to improve and automate business tasks.

  • Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
