Job Overview

As the Director of Digital Marketing Services you will be leading all the advisor digital presence & growth performance. You will own the digital platforms including web, social, texting and distributed marketing platform. You’ll be responsible of their management, improvement, usage and outcomes. The Director, Digital Marketing Services will report to the Assistant Vice President, Advisor Sales & Marketing Support, within the Advisor Sales and Marketing Support team In Retail Advice & Solutions.


What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of 8 marketing professionals who manages digital capabilities, advisor experience & relationship and consultation with advisors. Provides leadership, coaching, and talent management support to direct reports.

  • Create, manage and execute with partners the advisor digital roadmap with our Digital Enterprise partners.

  • Champion innovation supporting the advisor experience, ensuring we are delivering enhanced value by anticipating and meeting their needs to support clients.

  • Manage key strategic vendor relationships

  • Manage advisor trainings & learnings to accelerate usage and results.

  • Develop or leverage robust reporting and analytical tools to measure performance to reach objectives, inform future enhancements and ongoing optimization

  • Monitor and report progress against strategy and business plans, and makes adjustments accordingly

What You Will Bring

  • Team Leadership, performance management and coaching

  • Skilled communicator with the ability to present with impact, facilitate, negotiate and influence advisors and field leaders, various internal stakeholders and clients

  • University degree or equivalent business experience

  • 5-10 years in digital marketing or financial services experience with a focus on advisor or channel marketing

  • Proven track record of success, leading, influencing and implementing digital technology and strategies

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted.  It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.  In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.  Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
