Job Description:

POSITION SNAPSHOT:

The IT New Store Opening Specialist is responsible for all hardware and software/application technology components of new stores for both brands.  This is a hands-on role, wherein the coordinator will be responsible for traveling to new locations to provide hands-on hardware and software application installation, troubleshooting, and support.

The right candidate for this role will have experience with the implementation, management, and support of multiple restaurant and hospitality hardware and software applications, including Point of Sale, back office / inventory systems, etc.  They will further have experience in working directly with Operations to ensure their needs are addressed in a very busy and chaotic time surrounding an opening. This role will require travel up to 75% of the time depending on new store opening requirements.

This position reports to the IT New Store Opening Manager.

Day in the life…

  • Organize, prioritize and complete work assignments based on required timelines.
  • Travel to new openings for installation and associated work.
  • Report on new store opening status, issues, and resolution plans.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Experience, Required Skills:

  • Experience building processes and documenting those processes.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to resolve complex problems and issues.
  • Functional knowledge of major IT concepts (including networks, hardware, and interfaces) to effectively implement and diagnose application and end user problems and offer corrective action.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel within the organization.
  • Flexibility to travel to stores as needed up to 75%.
  • Proficient in full Microsoft Office suite; ability to learn new programs with ease.
