Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) Division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Associate (Level 2), to support our team at the Argon ST Smithfield facility in Southwestern Pennsylvania.   Our team will continue supporting the growth of the electronics and electrical manufacturing facility which supports our defense programs from seabed to space.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Gather and define production requirements for multiple electrical and electronic production programs
  • Develop detailed step-by-step production documentation including visual aids, work instructions and production routings from a variety of customer provided media including 2D and 3D Model Based packages
  • Support design reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
  • Support troubleshooting of production processes which are not yielding consistent results
  • Participate in new business development efforts
  • Work under general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. confidential clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Highly preferred: Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience or coursework in 3D modeling applications such as Catia, Siemens NX or Solidworks
  • Experience or coursework using manufacturing execution systems such as TipQA Shopfloor Execution
  • Experience or coursework in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology
  • Experience or coursework in statistical process analysis

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:
