About the position! 

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, ambitious, self-driven and passionate New Categories Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team at Upfield Turkey and taking full ownership of our company’s high-impact innovation projects in new categories and make a substantial contribution to the future growth of Upfield across Turkey, Central Asia and Caucasia.

This role will be a great fit for a resilient and self-driven brand owner with contagious positive energy who is keen to develop, launch and grow the cluster’s new plant-based food categories and brands, putting consumer-centric insight and business acumen at the heart of everything we do, flexing their project management skills, bringing a growth mindset to learning and demonstrating their passion for food through a strong collaborative cross functional leadership style.

Your Role 

  • Being the driving force for Upfield’s key innovation projects in Turkey, Central Asia and Caucasia cluster, developing and delivering the innovation strategy for new brands and categories and 3-year pipeline.
  • Delivering the key innovation initiative - end-to-end: from initial concept creation through to the identification and delivery into market.
  • Leading the creation of business cases, understanding consumers, customers, channels across retail and foodservice and commercial needs for the innovation projects
  • Working cross functionally with our global and local Marketing, Sales, Media, Consumer and Market Insight, R&D, Technical, Procurement, Legal, Supply Chain teams and suppliers to develop and execute the project (assessment of business opportunity, product, portfolio, packaging, pricing, route-to-market strategy, creation and implementation of full marketing mix encompassing offline and digital marketing strategies )

You're best suited for the role if you're able to demonstrate…

  • Previous brand management experience with P&L responsibility in a Blue Chip FMCG company, ideally within a Matrix Organisation
  • Strong track record in New Product Development, instigating, leading and delivering innovation projects against timings and budgets (Concept Testing, P&L, Price Strategy and Consumer and Market Insight) and able to lead project management locally with related functions and also work collaboratively with the Global Team
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyse insights/data to uncover opportunities.
  • Passion about innovation and demonstrate an interest in consumer needs and trends.
  • Advanced analytical skills of the FMCG market and what drives household penetration and market share as well as brand equity metrics.
  • Where you have successfully engaged a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across a business.
  • Ability to quickly understand and influence the key commercial levers which drive favourable results.
  • A knack for managing high profile areas of the business and be flexible to the changing requirements and needs of different stakeholders.

 

Key Skills & Experiences

  • University Degree in related fields (Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or Industrial Engineering would be preferable)
  • Minimum of 7+years of relevant experience in brand building and New Product Development
  • Collaborative Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving results through agile, test-and-learn methodologies. Possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and ensure alignment towards achieving business goals.
  • Experience in developing business strategy and execution
  • Digital savvy
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Preferably experience within a multinational consumer goods company
  • Good team player and influencer
  • Good solution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently
  • A passion for consumers, marketing and branding
  • A strong drive and passion for winning!
