Are you passionate about advancing the frontiers of medicine?

Launch your Life Sciences career with Fortrea’s one-year University Internship Program, designed to give students hands-on experience in the Healthcare and Clinical Research industries.

This internship will provide you with real-world insights into how new medicines are developed, offering exposure to the cutting-edge knowledge and processes driving modern Drug Development to bring new medicines to life.

WHAT YOU´LL DO
 

Over the course of 12 months, you’ll work closely with our Project Management team. You’ll be part of a 3-month rotation across four different teams, giving you a comprehensive understanding of how life-saving medicines begin their journey:

• Project Management: Support our PMs in coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence. You'll gain insight into managing timelines, risks, budgets, and achieving quality standards.

• Study Start-Up: work hand-by-hand with our specialists to learn how to prepare and submit essential documentation for UK Ethics Committees approvals, allowing clinical trials to begin.
   
• Project Coordination: Help set up project management tools, professionally manage  team meetings, and engage directly with clients to ensure smooth project operations.
   
• Clinical Trial Documentation: Perform quality checks on study-related documents, ensuring accuracy, and contribute to maintaining the electronic Trial Master File (eTMF).

WHAT WE´RE LOOKING FOR
 

• You must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in life or health sciences (commenced in 2023).
• Experience managing multiple projects in an academic or professional setting.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
• Ability to work to deadlines and  to collaborate with various stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, where priorities can change rapidly and you have to adapt on the spot.
• Demonstrated computer skills – requires excellent MS Office experience (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
