 You’ll support the onboarding of new facilities and ongoing renewal of existing facilities, whilst providing guidance and support.

You’ll be supporting origination teams within SCIB GTB Middle Office, with the BAU documentary trade, transactions execution, ongoing portfolio management and monitoring including amendments, discounts, negotiation, BAU liaison with offshore Operations teams for booking and monitoring of Trade Finance instruments.

  • Achieving consensus solutions, influencing, negotiating, delivering on challenging goals, promoting relationships and clear communication with stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Solid exposure to investment banking products and banking regulations, regulators and auditors (internal/external)

  • Able to demonstrate familiarity with deal origination, execution and processing of trade finance and assessment of their main risks

  • Direct experience in trade finance and documentary trade, basic lending, portfolio management lifecycle events, including elements of legal documentation review, and understanding of regulatory developments

  • Experience in a Middle Office environment and/or be aware of the segregation of duties between Front Office, Middle Office and Back Office roles

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Second language (ideally Spanish, spoken and written)

  • Trade Innovation or similar Trade booking system, repository sites

  • Trade finance experience along with CDCS, CITF, CSDG or equivalent

  • Good collaboration skills with various stakeholders (internal and external) including front office and back office and ability to prioritise workflow for quick turnarounds

What else you need to know:

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).
