Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a Software Engineer III on the Signs and Labels team, you will be instrumental in managing the printing and digital signage across all Walmart and Sam's Club stores globally. Your work will ensure a consistent and efficient visual communication strategy in every store, enhancing customer experience and aiding effective store operations. You will be part of an established team, tasked with designing and delivering high-performance signage systems at the scale of Walmart's extensive store network, while adhering to the highest operational standards and practices. Each day, you will be making a significant impact on the in-store experience of millions of customers worldwide.

The Signs and Labels team is a crucial component of Walmart's global operations, managing the printing and digital signage in all our stores across the globe, including Walmart and Sam's Club. The Signs and Labels team is an integral part of Walmart Global Tech's Enterprise Business Services, a robust organization dedicated to delivering top-tier technology solutions across various sectors including Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience, and our specialty, in-store signage, and labeling.
What you'll do:
This person will help ensure development is done to the specifications provided and will include creating the required documentation, ADRs, API specs, and examples. This person will be expected to contribute high quality work, learn the latest technologies and techniques, and overall maintain the high standards expected of the team.
What you'll bring:
This person will need to have a desire to develop highly available SaaS applications that can be easily managed and maintained. Their vision for short- and long-term solutions will help drive how and what is built and ensure that feature requests are aligned to that vision. As an engineer for a highly available application, this person must drive applications to be as dependable and responsive to consumers as possible.
Walmart’s scale faces unique challenges which require new out of the box ideas. This person will need to maintain an open-mind and always be questioning the status-quo for what else can improve. It is expected that this person will stay current with industry trends and innovations and are encouraged to participate in the development and open-source communities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in NodeJS; 1-2 year minimum
Experience in systems and API design, development, and management
Experience with Docker
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Splunk
Experience with EventHub, Kafka, Fastify, TypeScript
Bonus Points for:
Experience with Postscript, PJL, CPCL, or ZPL
Experience with manual SVG development

Sunnyvale, California US-11349:The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
