Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Diligent. As a key contributor to Diligent's AI platform services, you will be instrumental in designing and building a platform as a product and driving AI adoption across our diverse product suite.

In this role, you will focus on developing and enhancing AI search capabilities and enabling advanced lexical and semantic search functionality that empowers users to interact with our products in more intuitive, and impactful ways.

Key Responsibilities:

Help to define the system architecture, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall experience.
Collaborate with product designers, UX designers, and backend development teams to construct and implement the front-end interfaces.
Develop reusable front-end components that can be shared across product suite.
Collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to help define the scope of the product.
You will take responsibility for technical problem solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices.
Write high-quality, efficient, testable code.
Build highly available, secure, and event-driven systems.
Collaborate with and learn from some of the best engineers in the industry.
Contribute to planning, architecture, implementation, testing, and process improvement.
Share your knowledge of the most effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods.
Basic Qualifications:
Strong ability to develop highly readable and well-tested code that adheres to SOLID principles.
Proven proficiency in Python, with a solid understanding of its libraries
Proven proficiency in front-end technologies, including but not limited to TypeScript, React, Redux, React Query, esbuild, Webpack, Vite, Web Components, WebSocket, Jest, CSS, SCSS, and Styled Components.
Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, and Event Driven Development.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices in AWS (Terraform, CDK, or similar).
Ability to contribute to a high-performing agile team, and to product innovation.
Passion for learning and sharing your knowledge with others.

Nice to have Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with LLMs including prompt engineering and building RAG-based functionality.
Experience with lexical and semantic search using AWS OpenSearch.
Experience with full AI-based solution lifecycle.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience Level:

Senior Software Engineer: 5+ years of relevant experience.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to project management.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment.
