Position Summary:

The Accountant I is responsible for performing accounting‐related duties on a professional level. This position consists of various responsibilities in the following areas: invoicing, payment processing, and other duties as assigned.

Important Note: This is a short-term role for 6 months. 

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

The Accountant I is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Check and verify all incoming invoices
  • Assisting manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
  • Processing payments (Petty Cash)
  • Check and verify the Vendor Registration Form
  • Assisting the team for External Auditor to accurate and timely Year End Audit and Tax Audit.
  • Processing of accounts payables 
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and controls
  • Ensure compliance with local  reporting requirements (sales taxes, VAT, income taxes, WHT)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Bachelors or relevant work experience or certification/courses. 
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting. Basic experience in financial statements (income/P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) and a good understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Close procedures to create, implement, and manage.
  • Basic experience in operating Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • ng or related fields.
  • Basic experience in accounting systems (having experience in ACCURATE Online would be preferable)
  • Organized and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English language 
  • Willing to relocate to Yogyakarta
