Job Description:

Responsibilities

1. Key contributor to drive the ORSA and CISSA

  • Drive the preparation of reports and establish process to measure the effectiveness of the company’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework;

  • Work with Actuarial / ALM to define the stress parameters to test on company’s solvency, earnings and liquidity;

  • Collaborate with different teams to complete the stress testing and its corresponding management action plan; continuously identify improvements to further enhance the ORSA report & process.
     

2. Enterprise risk governance

  • Assist the implementation and communication of enterprise risk management framework and risk-related initiatives in meeting the regulatory requirements e.g. HKIA GL21, regulatory updates and comments relating to ORSA or CISSA, Climate Risks and Group requirements.
  • Review the group policies and its changes, communicating the requirements to the business functions, implementing an effective process to ensure risk policy compliance.


3. Day-to-day support to business

  • Assist business in risk and emerging issues identification and assessment and develop mitigation plan on new product / product revamp / ALM / capital / Investment initiatives. 
  • Assist business to develop / establish KRI and risk metrics to monitor risk appetite and related risk limits and assess the risk profile in light of IFRS 17 and RBC. 
  • Support business in compliance to internal Model risk policies. 

4. Support the function in preparing risk reports to the Risk Management Committee and various board of directors or its Risk Committee which provides risk insights to management and Board.

5. Conduct analysis to assist financial risk identification which is part of our annual key risk planning, business planning and risk reporting.

6. Coordinate and conduct deep dive on key risk issues to identify risk management actions.

7. Support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) on other ERM related risk management and oversight activities.

Requirements

• University graduate in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Statistics, Finance or related discipline
• Possess actuarial professional qualification (e.g Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, ASA/FSA). Financial Risk Manager (FRM) qualification is a definite added advantage
• At least 10 years relevant risk management/actuarial experience
• Experience working on different financial stress scenario testing
• Strong analytical and presentation skills with good knowledge of the requirement of Hong Kong Insurance Authority Guideline 21 on Enterprise Risk Management is a must
• Solid understanding of IFRS 17 and Hong Kong Risk Based Capital Regime
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
