As a UI/UX Designer I at Disney, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and user experience of our streaming platform, Disney+. This early career position is crucial in maintaining Disney's reputation as a leading-edge entertainment company, where innovation and storytelling are at the core. You will work within a collaborative and strategic team environment, contributing to the creation of world-class artwork that enhances the user experience for millions globally. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, an independent work ethic, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. 

Responsibilities:  

• Ideate and concept creative ways to leverage artwork in innovative and unexpected ways

• Regularly receive and provide creative feedback to guide early concepts and polish final executions

• Coordinate with program managers to kickoff, progress, and deliver creative projects 

• Communicate creative concepts, aesthetic choices, and visual execution effectively with peers 

• Champion artwork design to improve and drive audience engagement 

• Maintain a solid understanding of product design specifications and guidelines 

• Collaborate and build strong working relationships across The Walt Disney Company 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Proven understanding of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite 

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices  

• Process-driven and extremely detail-oriented 

• Self-motivated problem solver and great communicator  

• Strong work ethic, are reliable, adaptable, and work well with others  

• Curiosity about and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills 

• Proficiency in data analysis and analytical thinking 

• Ability to multi-task and context-switch with ease in a fast-paced, and ever-evolving organization 

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience   

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $93,200.00 to $124,900.00. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
