Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Software Engineers or Software Engineers. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Middletown, Rhode Island.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Global Battle and Mission Readiness Division.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications: 

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

• T01501: Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s) from an accredited institution.

  T01502: Be completing or has completed their degree from an accredited institution with a Bachelor’s and 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree with 0 years’ experience

• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher

Salary Range for Associate Software Engineer: $ 68,800 - $ 103,200

Salary Range for Software Engineer: $ 83,300 - $ 124,900
