The Opportunity:

6sense is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a General Ledger Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate should have strong financial accounting skills and expertise in managing general ledgers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting fundamentals, technical accounting, and SOX requirements. A self-starter with exceptional quantitative skills and the ability to perform under tight deadlines. Strive to deliver efficient and effective solutions, propose innovative approaches, and help achieve ongoing success.

 Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the day-to-day operations of the general ledger accounting function, including but not limited to review and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger and financial statements, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data and support for timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct detailed review and analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances and anomalies, providing accurate and reliable information to aid in management's decision-making processes.
  • Partner with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance procedures in line with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of financial accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Continuously identify and drive optimization initiatives of process, systems and support future integrations to scale operations to accelerate month-end close while building best practices
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and evolving accounting standards, ensuring compliance and driving process improvements where necessary.
  • Lead coordination of financial information for preparation of tax returns
  • Undertake special projects and support company initiatives, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA firm experience/designation a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with financial reporting systems and accounting software such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize workload.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in MS office software applications including, but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneDrive.
