Role Summary:

The Specialty Care Category Lead, reporting to the Gulf Cluster Lead, is responsible for driving growth in a diverse portfolio of inline products and breakthrough launches across Hospital, Inflammation & Immunology, and Rare Disease TAs. The Lead is accountable for the management of ~$140M P&L across six countries (UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Yemen), focusing on both new launches and sustainable growth of inline assets.

The Lead ensures focus and prioritization, effective resource allocation, and performance management to enable dynamic decision-making. With important launches expected, the Lead will drive decisions on launch priorities and collaborate with stakeholders to plan regulatory, supply, and access strategies for successful market entries.

The Specialty Care marketing team reports to the Category Lead, who will be responsible for recruitment, training, development, and performance management to build a motivated and capable team.

As a key member of the Gulf Leadership Team, the Lead will foster collaboration across teams, work closely with regional and global partners, and contribute to Gulf’s growth strategy, ensuring alignment with Pfizer’s policies, values, and local guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • P&L Management: Achieve/exceed revenue and profitability targets by optimizing resource allocation and aligning expenses, investments, and supply with strategic goals
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement multi-year operating plans focused on new asset launches and the growth of inline products with optimized resources, contributing to the broader Specialty Care strategy and Gulf vision. Drive innovative business strategies and models to maximize revenue, market share, and profitable growth.
  • Customer Engagement & Stakeholder Relationships: Drive execution of customer strategies and tactics through customer-facing teams. Take personal ownership of key stakeholder relationships, acting as the face of Pfizer Specialty Care in the Gulf region.
  • Launch Prioritization & Excellence: Lead new product launches through collaboration with medical, regulatory, supply, access, and FF to ensure marketplace readiness and timely execution.
  • Access & Market Shaping: Optimize access for Specialty Care assets by managing stakeholders and developing strategic initiatives to shape policy across the Gulf region.
  • Lifecycle Management:  Manage the inline portfolio across various product life cycle stages to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, develop, and manage the performance of the Specialty Care marketing team, ensuring a high-performing culture and an inclusive environment that encourages bold thinking.
  • Empowerment & Ownership: Foster a culture where colleagues are empowered to do their best, take full ownership of their roles, and are driven to deliver exceptional results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience, with 5+ years in commercial roles within pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience in people management (direct responsibility).
  • Proficiency in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Track record of successful P&L management is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with EM, business dynamics, and commercial operations across various stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple therapeutic areas and portfolio optimization.
