In the position of HR Business Partner, Manufacturing, Finance & Legal - Europe you will provide strategic HR support to the EMEA Operations function for European countries, incl. manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, engineering and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for aligning the people strategy with business strategy and delivering value-added HR solutions to the operations leaders and teams across Europe. As part of the EMEA Operations leadership team, working closely with the broader EMEA HR team, you will drive and deliver HR strategy and key HR initiatives and programs to the Operations function, providing guidance and coaching to business leaders and managers on organizational and people matters. You will also act as the interface into the global Operations HR leadership team to ensure consistency and collaboration across regions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Business Partner – shape and provide strategic HR guidance and forward-thinking solutions by partnering with European Operations leaders and managers to understand business objectives, challenges and opportunities to develop and implement the people strategy and plans for the EMEA Operations function for European countries, aligned with the global and regional priorities and initiatives.
  • Drive Annual HR Processes – drive core HR processes such as the People Capability Review, performance enablement, goal setting and annual performance assessment process, and organizational design and development across EMEA Operations.
  • Pro-active HR Support – coach and advise leaders and managers on workforce, talent and organizational matters, incl. employee relations, talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, compensation and benefits, learning and development, talent and performance management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and change management. Partnering with and brokering HR COE and SSC resources to implement HR solutions that meet the distinctive challenges of the Operations function in compliance with legal requirements and consistent HR service.
  • Labour Relations – close collaboration with the Shared Service Center HR Manager and team to manage and execute the labor relations strategy and complex labor relations activities, including supporting collective bargaining and German Works Council engagement.
  • EMEA HR & HR Projects – as part of the EMEA HR leadership team, provide input to the broader regional HR strategy and policies to enable the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices, as well as managing and supporting complex HR projects. This role will further be responsible for supporting the EMEA HR Leader in coordinating monthly project reviews and driving accountability for projects, KPI performance and reporting.

 

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Degree qualified, ideally in Human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Min. 7 years of demonstrated HR generalist / advisory / business partnering experience in a manufacturing or operations environment in a multinational and/or matrixed organization.
  • Experience in and in-depth understanding of German employee and labour relations, and working with works councils.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the operations function and its challenges and opportunities with a proven track record of delivering strategic and operational HR solutions to senior leaders and teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. Ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • English and German fluency, both written and spoken.

Desirable requirements:

  • Master's degree or certification in HR is preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment preferred.
