Our team is growing, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst to help us drive FNZ Markets business forward.

As a Finance Analyst at FNZ, you will be responsible for managing financial forecasts for FNZ Markets Division across Australia, the US, UK, Europe and Asia. The division includes three separate businesses: Post Trade Technology, Dealing Desks, and Hatch (retail share trading platform).

You will support with budgeting, forecasting, modelling, analysis, and business partnering. Strong technical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to high-quality work are essential for this position.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, including ownership of annual budget and quarterly rolling forecasts

  • Maintaining various Excel forecast models and managing data inputs from relevant financial systems and regional reports

  • Analysing monthly ledger data to identify variances to forecast and to highlight any potential risks or opportunities

  • Serving as a point of contact for general budget/forecast enquiries from the wider business

  • Assisting with regional inputs into ExCo and stakeholder presentations on regular basis

  • Assisting with preparation of ad-hoc reports or analysis (such as ratio analysis, customer and vendor level analysis etc.)

  • Assist with month end queries from the Finance Control Team

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with fluency in formulas (such as lookups, sumifs etc.) and functions (charts, pivots etc.).  Prior experience of Excel modelling would be beneficial.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving business requirements

  • Ability to manage own workload effectively to meet deadlines

  • Commercial outlook, willing to learn and use initiative and think laterally to get things done

  • Part or fully qualified (CA or CFA)

  • 2-3 years’ experience in either: Auditing or Advisory roles within a public practice, or Financial and Management Accounting roles within a corporate.
