Our group
At Metals & Minerals (M&M) team, we develop and maintain software for Optical-Emission and X-Ray spectrometers. Our solutions are essential for our customers from metallurgy, cement, and mining industries to advance their technologies and products while become more energy-efficient, and environment-friendly.

As a member of an international team of scientists, software developers, and engineers, you will cope with tasks related to verification of spectrometer control software in combination with real and simulated spectrometers.

Technologies we use
We work with wide range of tools and technologies, but these will form the core of your work duties:

• Linux-based embedded computer for instrument control and status reporting running C#/.NET application with React/TS frontend
• Test automation and tools using Gherkin/Playwright, Python, and various command line tools
• Cooperation tools like Jira, Confluence, Jama, GitHub

Daily Challenges
You'll be part of a software development team working on our spectrometer control software. As a QA engineer you will work in close collaboration with developers and:

• Get trained in spectroscopy-related physics and chemistry to understand the context of our applications and spectrometers
• Perform tests on simulators and in our laboratory on real instruments
• Learn something new every day!

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Good command of English for daily written and spoken communication
• Eagerness to learn new things, passion for excellence
• Curiosity about new technologies and material science
• Junior coding skills in Python/TypeScript/C#/Gherkin
• Prior experience in software testing or scientific background in physics is a bonus, but you may learn on the go.
