Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic QA team. This role encompasses the development and maintenance of automated tests along with a strong focus on comprehensive testing methodologies, including manual testing. You will play a critical role in ensuring the robustness and reliability of our products by actively engaging in the entire testing lifecycle. This position requires independent work on various projects, taking initiative and ownership of quality assurance processes while collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to drive quality across all phases of product development.Required Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on automation testing.
- Proficiency in testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, Cypress, or similar tools.
- Strong scripting skills in languages like Java, JavaScript, or similar for test automation.
- Extensive API testing experience using automation frameworks (e.g., RestAssured) to ensure backend functionality and integrations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to design, build, and scale automation solutions tailored to complex systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Github, GitLab) and integrating automated tests into the development workflow.
- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git for managing and maintaining test scripts and code.
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with developers, QA, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write clear and comprehensive test cases, collaborating on test planning and strategy to ensure thorough coverage.
- Conduct a full range of testing, including manual testing, to validate product functionality and user experience.
- Take ownership of the testing process, performing independent work on product features and enhancements.
- Maintain and enhance current test cases, demonstrating the ability to debug and resolve issues efficiently.
- Engage in testing for API, web, and mobile applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Communicate effectively, articulating technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and testing in cloud-based applications is advantageous.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
