Department Overview

The Evidence and Devices Engineering team is responsible for Motorola Solutions’ body cameras, vehicle cameras and evidence management software leveraged in public safety and enterprise applications worldwide.

We are a thriving and growing company in search of a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our evidence management team at our Kraków, Poland site. This is a full-time role where you will play a crucial part in the testing, validation and automation of our software engineering projects as well as the continuous build and delivery pipeline. We are seeking a talented and proactive individual who can contribute to our team’s success and foster a positive culture within the company.


Job Description

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing test plans to validate the functionality of our software suite.

  • Supporting, designing, developing and enhancing test processes across multiple teams. 

  • Creating automated test suites to reduce manual effort in our test processes.

  • Managing test effort across our varied product suite under tight deadlines.

  • Analyzing user requirements to inform application & test design.

  • Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise

  • Ensuring continuous professional self-development.


Basic Requirements

  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills

  • 3+ years of experience in automated testing tools or equivalent automation skills in Agile Development environments.

  • Java programming  skills with proven 1-3 years of experience

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to create comprehensive test plans and test cases covering various scenarios (functional, integration, performance, security, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience writing automated tests using Cypress or Playwright.

  • Experience with building Java software applications.

  • CI/CD tools and techniques, ie: Jenkins, GitHub Actions.

  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, etc.

  • Experience automating manual build and delivery pipelines.
