Job Description

Material handler/Maintenance Mechanic Level II

Contract Position- 12months

Responsibilities

• Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.
• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped and received
• Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.

-Inventory management

 • Maintains and repairs the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

 • Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.

• Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process.

• Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary.

 • Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.

Typical Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree or minimum of 2 years of related experience; high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Computer Skills needed (Microsoft applications, etc)

  • Forklift Certified preferred but not needed.

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office/Lab setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This role has sedentary and physical components requiring filing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 35lbs as necessary. This position also requires a mix of physical work and up to 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.



 

Salary Ranges

$19.21 - $23.10

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training.  In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.  The talent advisor can share more details about total compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
