The Team: You will be working with a team of talented developers and testers to build a critical piece of software to help our clients make sound financial decisions. The team uses Kanban and meets daily to discuss progress and issues, and everyone has a voice on this team and this is key to our success. 

The Impact: Your software development experience and skills will help us build our service-based application and that will ensure the clients have the latest S&P data to help make the best financial decisions possible. You will help us get this new product into the client’s hands with the best quality possible and this will not only help out clients but help S&P grow!

Responsibilities: List a maximum 6 bullets describing the core responsibilities/work to be performed/outcomes that the successful candidate will be expected to achieve. Keep the bullets concise and avoid going over 6 of them to prevent overwhelming the applicant. 

Develop Rest Web Services using Java 21 and Spring Boot 

Build unit test for your code using the latest test frameworks 

Help construct CI/CD pipelines 

Ensure code is secure using latest tools and standards 

Performance tune services and database interactions 

Help develop efficient data loads into Snowflake and Databricks and several relational dartabases 

What We’re Looking For: List a maximum 4 bullets outlining the key qualifications of the job, e.g. education, must-have skills, languages etc. Then list 3-4 bullets with the key soft skills required. 

3+ years with Java and Rest web service development 

3+ years working with relation databases 

Experience with ORM tools 

Good communication skills 

Experience with Snowflake or Databricks a plus but not required
