We are looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient student to join our team, the NIC Firmware team in the Yokneam site, as a Simulator Developer. What you will be doing:

In this exciting role, you will work closely with our experts to develop and refine simulation software for networking cards. This is a phenomenal opportunity for a student with a passion for computer networking and firmware development to gain practical experience in a real-world setting.

  • Simulation Development: design and implement simulation advanced features in a highly complex and sophisticated environment.
  • Debugging and Solving: Gain a deep understanding of system debug, networking technology and stacks, as well as the HW/FW/SW relationship.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members, including firmware engineers and hardware engineers, to ensure flawless integration of the simulator into larger projects and initiatives. you will learn how Hardware and Firmware are developed.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and complete test plans to validate the functionality and performance of the networking card simulator. Identify areas for improvement and implement vital changes based on test results.

What we need to see:

  • Currently enrolled in B.Sc. in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C or C++
  • Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms fundamentals
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge of network protocols
  • Prior verification experience
  • Real time programming
  • Experience with Agile methods
