The successful candidates will have a BSME or related degree and 2-5 years of engineering experience working with production manufacturing equipment and/or assembly and conveying systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and perform engineering changes to assembly lines from a mechanical, pneumatic, servo motor controls, PLC, machining, vision system, and sensor/instrumentation perspective.
  • Troubleshoot process or equipment-related problems and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • In conjunction with the Production Team, develop and implement plans to increase productivity, quality, and safety through use of standardized work processes (continuous improvement).
  • Assist the Maintenance team with development of effective preventative maintenance practices.
  • Write standardized work instructions to manage change and allow operators to perform work safely, with the proper quality, and in the proper time.
  • Lead small capital projects. 
  • Facilitate the selection, design, and installation of equipment to meet required quality and productivity targets.
  • Participate in machine review and validation runs of assembly equipment prior to shipment to manufacturing plant.
  • Participates with the product development team to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and quality.
