Description -
The Supplies category in global markets manages sales via distributor/reseller/retailer go to markets. Key supplies products are ink and toner cartridges for Printers. The sales territories are divided into multiple country/ markets. We sell to the largest retailers and resellers across the world, in a network of 200+ distributors selling to thousands of resellers and retailers.
This role is in the business planning function which supports the distribution sales community. Key to this function is Demand/ Supply matching in a market categorised by distributors and countries. Matching the demand and supply whilst balancing/optimizing the weeks of stock availability, inventory management and ensuring the right stock is in the right market for selling is key in this function. We use sku level/distributor/country based insights to help drive decisions.
We use an app called Sara with data science and machine learning which enables the automation and efficiency of the demand supply processes.
This role is about helping to develop the latest version of the app and being the asset owner of this in the future. This version is specific to the Greater Asia and India markets.
The main responsibilities include the below, but are not limited to only these points:
Education and Experience Required:
Typically 6-10 years work experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. Advanced university degree (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent.
Knowledge and Skills:
Very strong email, virtual and face2face communication skills;
Fluent written and spoken English;
Very strong knowledge regarding Microsoft Office pack, especially
advanced Excel;
Ability to work in a team and share knowledge;
Have a structured approach towards solving tasks;
Excellent leader and communication skills;
Problem solving skills; business acumen
Strong analytical skills as well as reporting and analysis experience and skills;
Respect tight deadlines for tasks and/or providing information required;
Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment;
Knowledge of Power BI an advantage;
Knowledge about Distribution Channel an advantage;
Use of Channel DNA and reporting toolset an advantage.
