Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an experienced Manager, General Manufacturing 1 for our Ridgecrest, CA location to support our Advanced Weapons programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs).
  • Program Manager responsibilities include: cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract.
  • Guidance Given, Assignments Received.
  • Assignments are received in task-oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Supervisory or management responsibilities for more than one functional area in the Manufacturing and Production job family.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of Manufacturing Experience Or MS degree and 3 years of applicable experience. Will consider a high school diploma or GED equivalent with10 Years of applicable Manufacturing Experience.
- Experience working in a DoD Contract environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and teams
- Ability to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goals
- Ability to develop and present material outside the immediate work function
- Ability to comprehend and analyze problems and develop solutions
- Ability to spend at least 75% of time on the Manufacturing Floor

- Ability to obtain a U.S. secret clearance


Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience as a Manufacturing Lead or Supervisor
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Experience with 5S
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $142,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
