Do you have legal qualifications and experience in Hong Kong? We are seeking a Casual Senior Legal Editor to focus on research, analysis and writing to support Hong Kong Law Reports.

About the role:

In the role of Casual Senior Legal Editor, you will:

Legal Research, Analysis and Writing

  • Creates and classifies legal information in the form of headnotes, historical notes, abstracts/synopses, headings, analysis, indexes, highlights, and other text.

  • Reviews and edits legal information created by other employees, authors, freelancers and others.

  • Identifies key legal issues in editorial materials.

Editorial Responsibility

  • Adheres to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards.

  • Consults with multiple departments regarding the business aspects of publications as required.

  • Verifies own work and that of colleagues and external contributors as required for accuracy, completeness, and quality and ensures that the information is properly presented and organized.

  • Maintains and develops legal knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on legal trends and developments related to the employee’s editorial responsibilities.
