Procurement Manager, Risk and Compliance

This is an exciting opportunity for the Procurement Manager, Risk and Compliance operating in a highly complex, competitive environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Risk Manager to drive our GSK Risk, Policy and Compliance Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, risk management principles and compliance.

Proven experience in supply chain risk management and ESG, including familiarity with supply chain risk management tools will be an asset.

This role will significantly contribute to enhancing GSK’s risk management practices and deliver value to various business stakeholders.

Strategy Planning and Execution

  • Drive an effective approach to implement the overall Global Procurement Risk, Policy and Compliance strategy by increasing risk understanding so that Procurement is effective in identifying and managing risk.
  • Create the required assets to drive the change, including policies, processes, controls, monitoring capabilities, key risk indicators and learning assets.
  • This role will support supply chain strategy planning, to ensure appropriate risks are visible and their mitigations plans are understood.
  • Provide efficient and effective execution support to impacted employees across Global Procurement (different categories and geographies), so that policy, risk and compliance management is embedded across the Global Procurement organization.
  • Support strategic project initiatives.

Partnership

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company such as but not limited to Global Supply Chain, Global Procurement, Facilities, Global Ethics & Compliance, Audit & Assurance and Quality.
  • Coordinate business requirement by understanding and checking against the strategy, propose process redesign options and coordinate the delivery.
  • Utilize available data and digital tools (platforms) to drive insights, user adoption and support the Global Procurement digital transformation.

Reporting, communication & training

  • Manage operational such as reporting on key risk indicators, monitoring capabilities, assisting in the writing of reports for Governance Boards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 7+ years working in complex global corporate environment
  • 4+ years working in procurement, risk management, quality or related field
  • Experience of regulated environments or good working knowledge manufacturing quality
  • Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent MS Office (Excel, Power Point) skills
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Motivate colleagues and work in partnership with others to drive, implement and support change
  • Operations or Direct Procurement and policy, risk, compliance or Audit experience
  • Managing project execution
  • Working in a matrix environment
  • Quality Management Systems, or managing quality for manufacturing
  • Working experience with supply chain risk management and ESG tools useful but not essential
