As a Senior Staff Accountant on the Accounting team, your typical responsibilities will include:
- Perform monthly closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis & commentary, and internal financial statements, and monthly reporting schedules. Ensures compliance with GAAP and Company policies and procedures.
- Communicate with operations management to ensure transactions are recorded appropriately.
- Analyze financial information, detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, and prepare a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows, and other reports.
- Prepares and reviews detailed balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving any discrepancies. Provide support to Staff Accountants with initial reviews of reconciliations, provide guidance when needed, and assistance in resolving issues.
- Serve as a “go-to” problem-solver for the Staff Accountants. Promotes ongoing and timely communication among the team.

(Required qualifications)
- Experience: 5 years + of related industry experience.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply technical accounting guidance.
- Project management skills or experience.
- Meet deadlines and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
- Maintains good working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Prioritization, organizational, and time management skills
- A high degree of integrity
- Expertise in US GAAP with the ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply complex accounting guidance.
- Project management skills and experience in managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain good working relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Strong prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.
- A high degree of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
A CPA license is not required but is a plus.
- Schedule / in-office requirements: Hybrid role; 3 days in office, 2 days work from home
