Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Department: Finance

Reports To: Accounting Manager

Supervises: None

FLSA Status:    Hourly, Non-Exempt

Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience and ranges from $26.50/hour to $29.50/hour.

General Summary

Process daily accounts receivable transactions, files and records.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process daily cash receipts including entry into computer and deposit at bank.

  • Prepare client invoices including entry into computer and printing invoices.

  • Maintain pending invoices files for future shows.

  • Collect past due accounts receivable accounts including contacting clients and

  • maintaining contact records.

  • Prepare and reconcile Advance Deposit account.

  • Prepare adjusting journal entries for correction of general ledger accounts related

  • to accounts receivable.

  • Interact with other departments and clients as needed.

  • Enter cash receipts into General Ledger.

  • Collect cash from lockers and machines.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent work experience, required

  • Accounts receivable experience, preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele. Provide customer service in a professional considerate manner

  • Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization

  • Perform job tasks effectively, despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities

  • Detail oriented and excellent data entry skills

  • Excellent record of dependability, reliability, and integrity

  • Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English

Computer Skills

  • Excellent typing skills and general office clerical skills. The ability to operate computers and work with basic office systems.

  • Microsoft Excel and computer experience required.
