As a Product Operations Strategic Planner within the Global Supply Chain NPI organization at Micron Technology, Inc. you will be responsible for representing the end to end value chain in defining and driving successful samples planning and execution within the early lifecycle phases of new products.  This role is responsible for driving predictable manufacturing readiness across the value chain by collaborating with Business Units, R&D, Product Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to orchestrate and deliver samples that Supply Chain and Manufacturing can execute.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage sample demand entry from various customers and ensures completeness, data quality, and viability of request dates.
  • Ensures product master data, silicon, materials, and capacity is planned and ready for product kitting by Tactical Planners at build time.
  • Works with Tactical Planners to ensure manufacturing commits are provided and updated in the samples management system.
  • Monitor performance to plan and report status.
  • Manage mitigation and prioritization of misses.
  • Communication with PDT and Management.
  • Ensures NPI to HVM handoffs are successful.

  • Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and tool experience (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, Tableau etc.)
  • Ability to work with global multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Comfort in dealing with ambiguity.

EDUCATION

B.S. degree in a relevant discipline such as:  Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.  Masters is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

1-3 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, PLM, Program/Project Management, or Engineering is preferred.
