We are looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to join our growing team! This position will be required to work onsite to manage our IT equipment. The IT Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement and lifecycle of IT assets including hardware, software, and services. This role involves sourcing goods through vendors, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and maintaining accurate records of IT assets and inventory. The specialist will manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards. This position must integrate company values into daily practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the purchasing of IT equipment, software, and services for the organization.
  • Work closely with vendors to source and acquire IT resources that meet the organization’s needs.
  • Respond to all internal requests for hardware and software.
  • Manage and track each asset’s lifecycle and maintain records of those assets.
  • Manage and resolve any issues with damaged/returned assets.
  • Track and maintain inventory of IT assets.

Minimum Job Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in procurement or IT asset management role required.
  • Experience in Healthcare environment strongly preferred.

Required Licenses, Certifications, and/or Documentation

  • Must maintain acceptable driving record, current driver’s license, and insurability.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge and understanding of IT systems, products and services to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective vendor and customer communications.
  • Analytical skills to assess and compare different products and services.
  • Attention to detail to ensure all procurement processes are followed correctly.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously.

Physical Requirements over the course of a shift

  • A significant amount of sitting, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time
  • Both gross and precise motor functions
  • Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard
  • Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to hear overhead pages
