Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven individual to join a fast-paced environment as a member of Apollo’s Global Wealth Management Solutions (GWMS) Asia Pacific (APAC) team in our Seoul office. This newly created role will ideally suit a high performing salesperson looking to partner with our global wealth management marketing and sales efforts across South Korea, and to contribute to strategic business priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support efforts in building the GWM business in South Korea, working in close partnership with GWMS APAC team, the APAC Capital Formation teams, and the senior leadership team in Asia.
  • Work in close coordination and contribute to the GWMS sales strategy to ensure sufficient investor outreach and the strategic fundraise objectives for each fund/strategy are being met.
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing and new investors and business partners, including global/regional/local banks and wealth platforms in South Korea.
  • Working as part of the GWMS APAC team for the entire fund-raising cycle and serving wealth clients and distribution partners: servicing existing investors and partners, onboarding new distributors, driving the sales and distribution activities, and providing first class after sale service.
  • Becoming expert in private markets and Apollo’s investment solutions across different asset classes and fund structures, play a key role in planning and organizing various investor marketing outreach activities including roadshows, due diligence sessions, client events and certain other events, in close coordination with the global Events & Brand Marketing team.
  • Involved in industry mapping, peer analysis, and strategic account planning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 5-8 years’ experience in a client relationship management role for private wealth/intermediary sales channel in South Korea.
  • Strong knowledge of the South Korean retail distribution landscape with a good track record of success raising assets from HNW/UHNW investors and possess a results-oriented and profit-driven mentality.
  • Sound understanding of alternatives and the ability to advise investors on their investment needs, building a strong relationship of trust over time.
  • Experienced working in an international organization and willingness to be flexible with hours as part of a global organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including preparation and delivery of presentations.
  • Appropriate degree in business/accounting/ finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Native fluency in Korean language.
