Job Description: Microsoft System Center & Automation Specialist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to manage and optimize our Wintel infrastructure using Microsoft System Center solutions and automation tools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in SCVMM, Hyper-V, SCOM, SCCM, Orchestrator, Service Manager, PowerShell and HCI (S2D,SOFS), ensuring seamless operations, monitoring, automation, and patching across the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM):
o Manage Hyper-V and cluster environments effectively.
o Perform core day-to-day operations to maintain optimal virtual machine performance.
2. Microsoft Hyper-V:
o Oversee the Wintel infrastructure's critical virtualization platform.
o Utilize strong expertise to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Hyper-V environments.
3. Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM):
o Monitor and manage infrastructure performance using SCOM.
o Analyse alerts and implement preventive measures for consistent uptime.
4. Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM):
o Handle infrastructure patching, application packaging, and software distribution.
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SCCM operations.
5. Microsoft System Center Orchestrator:
o Design and manage automation workflows to streamline processes.
o Leverage solid understanding of Orchestrator to improve operational efficiency.
6. Microsoft Service Manager:
o Manage IT service management operations with comprehensive knowledge of Service Manager.
o Ensure smooth service delivery and issue resolution.
7. Microsoft PowerShell:
o Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts for automation and task optimization.
o Integrate PowerShell with other tools to enhance automation capabilities.
8. Hyper-Converged Infrastructure HCI (S2D,SOFS)
o Expertise in HCI Technologies: Proficient in managing and optimizing Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions, including Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) and Scale-Out File Server (SOFS). Skilled in deployment, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting HCI environments to ensure seamless operations.
Required Qualifications:
• Proven experience in managing Microsoft System Center tools and Wintel infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of Hyper-V environments and SCVMM.
• Strong knowledge of SCOM for infrastructure monitoring and SCCM for patch management.
• Expertise in developing and managing workflows using System Center Orchestrator.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Service Manager for IT service management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across a diverse infrastructure.
