Now, we are on an unstoppable mission for an Associate Director of Engagement to join our team. The Associate Director is a core Integrated Strategy team member, primarily responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance for all digital projects and initiatives for smaller accounts or portions of larger accounts.  

The Associate Director provides leadership based on an understanding of the customer journey and lifecycle, as well as motivating behaviors to assist in the development of a channel strategy that outlines the most efficient path to connect with and activate the customer. Successful candidates will demonstrate a history of creating and managing innovative and effective digital initiatives across CRM, Social, Website, Media, and other key channels. This position requires a strong understanding of current and emerging interactive vehicles that impact digital communications.

Role Essentials 

  • Primary Driver of Strategic Thinking: Lead the strategic development of ecosystems and channel strategies with a digital first customer experience
  • Distillation of Core Audience Insights and Trends: Present opportunities for clients to meaningfully engage with the target audience 
  • Subject Matter Expertise in Digital Topic Areas: SEO, social media, CRM, digital media, analytics, emerging channels and new technologies, and channel strategy 
  • Leadership: Ability to problem solve, motivate others, grow and develop team members, and demonstrate deep understanding of engagement tools and platforms  

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a Leader: Manage tactic executions and ensure alignment to digital marketing strategies under a client’s business goals and objectives.
  • Provide Strategic Framework Support: Answer client business needs and challenges.
  • Oversee In-depth Audits: Use third-party tools to evaluate competitive activity, keyword search behavior, social conversation, media activity, and more to identify key barriers and opportunities for our clients.
  • Work in Partnership: Collaborate with the agency’s account directors to ensure that resource needs and strategic needs are fully met.
  • Grow Client Business: Partner with agency account directors to identify areas to grow the client’s business organically.
  • Lead Process Improvement: Serve as Agency lead for process improvement and other critical initiatives, as assigned.
  • Provide Strategic Insights: Support new business opportunities with strategic insights and guidance.
  • Demonstrate Leadership in Analytics: Deliver integrated analytics decks and presentations that tell clients a clear story of how the engagement tools and ecosystem are delivering on their business needs.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Provide regular input and tracking of digital trends and insights.
  • Offer Digital Best Practices: Provide digital best practice guidance for internal teams, including account and creative.
  • Support New Business Opportunities: Actively support, as assigned, for new business opportunities. 

Team Management and Mentorship

  • Guide Junior Team Members: Help mentor junior team members as they grow their skills – provide training, mentorship, and leadership as needed.
  • Hire, Coach, and Develop Team Members: Assign projects to balance workloads and challenge team members' skills, ensuring projects showcase the agency's capabilities.
  • Provide Regular Feedback: Offer both formal and informal feedback to Engagement team members to help grow their creative sensibilities and progress in their craft.
  • Perform Team Evaluations: Participate in performance reviews and provide coaching to create growth plans for team members as needed.
  • Infuse Psychological Safety into Teams: Facilitate participation, inclusion, and diversity of perspectives on your team and throughout the agency. 

What Makes You A Great Fit

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, analytics or related area.
  • Experience: 7-10 Years of Digital Strategy experience. Healthcare and agency experience preferred.
  • Curiosity and Growth: High level of curiosity and an innate desire to learn and grow with a far-reaching sense of curiosity.
  • Independence and Collaboration: Ability to effectively work both independently and collaboratively with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engagement and Digital Marketing Expertise: Experiential knowledge of engagement and digital marketing channels, including implementation, testing, and tracking and measurement.
  • New and Emerging Channels: Possess expertise in new and emerging digital channels, tactics, and media.
  • Additional Skills: Problem-solving, strong communication, budgeting, project management, and planning skills. 
  • Hybrid-Office Environment: Ability to work both in-office and remotely
