Software Product Owner

Description -

We are seeking a driven and experienced Software Product Owner to join our dynamic team. As a pivotal member of our product development group, you will play a crucial role in defining and delivering innovative software solutions that meet the needs of our users and align with our business objectives related to key business logic and solution enablement. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and effective communication skills to drive the successful execution of our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Strategy:
  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy based on customer feedback, business needs and constraints, and business goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features and enhancements that align with the product vision.
Roadmap Management:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines the short-term and long-term goals for the service.
  • Continuously prioritize features and tasks based on strategic importance and customer impact in collaboration with the TPM office and requirements funnel.  
Feature Definition and Prioritization:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, design, QA, product managers) to define detailed requirements and acceptance criteria for product features.
  • Prioritize feature development based on TPM priority, business value, resource constraints, and customer impact.
Release Management:
  • Coordinate release schedules and ensure timely delivery of product increment.   
  • Work closely with release managers (release train engineers) to align on delivery date while maintaining initiatives, epics, stories, and tasks in the project management tool set, Jira. 
  • Conduct release planning sessions and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the release cycle.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on product development progress and gathering feedback.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on product goals and priorities.
Metrics and KPIs:
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of product releases and inform future iterations.
  • Analyze data to make data-driven decisions and adjustments to the product strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Typically 7-10 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, with experience in Scrum or Kanban frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid technical background with proficiency in software development processes and technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Certification in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO) is a plus.

 Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $118,050.00 -- $181,800.00 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
