About Caribou

At Caribou, we care about giving people financial freedom so they can focus on what’s most important to them. Today, less than two percent of Americans refinance their auto loans despite drastic increases in the cost of new and used cars. We see huge potential to help folks reduce their monthly auto expenses, as well as increase the predictability of those expenses over time. We do this by building technology to pair customers with community banks and credit unions, and ushering them through the process quickly. On average, our drivers save $115/month on their car loans while protecting their investment long term.

Caribou is led by leaders from the technology, automotive, and finance industries. We’re proud to be backed by a great team of investors, including QED Investors, Goldman Sachs, Moderne Ventures, Accomplice, Link Ventures, Motley Fool Ventures and others.

About the Role

Caribou is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the vision and strategy for our digital funnel and conversion optimization. This role requires a deep understanding of digital customer acquisition, funnel performance, and the factors that impact conversion rates across a multi-channel digital environment. You’ll be responsible for creating seamless customer experiences that maximize conversion and lead efficiency, leveraging both digital marketing tactics and product-led strategies.

As a senior leader in the product team, you will optimize Caribou’s digital sales funnel, ensuring customers can easily navigate from awareness to application, while improving both conversion and overall efficiency. You’ll lead initiatives to develop and optimize the use of digital tools such as web experiences, personalized landing pages, A/B testing, and data-driven insights to increase conversion rates and reduce drop-off.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute product strategy for Caribou’s digital customer funnel, ensuring alignment with Caribou’s business objectives and growth targets.
  • Own the digital customer journey from lead generation through application submission, identifying pain points and areas for improvement to increase funnel conversion rates.
  • Optimize for conversion metrics, balancing the customer experience with Caribou’s growth and efficiency goals, ensuring that cost, NPS, and contribution margin targets are met.
  • Leverage digital tools and strategies (e.g., A/B testing, personalization, user segmentation) to improve funnel performance and drive continuous conversion improvements.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, design, and analytics teams to deliver seamless, high-performing digital experiences.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies to inform product decisions and maintain a competitive edge in the auto refi space.
  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, performance data, and market opportunities.
  • Lead the development of funnel tracking and attribution models, providing clear insights into what drives customer conversion.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, ensuring that customer needs are at the forefront of every initiative.

This role can be based out of our Caribou office in Denver, CO. Alternatively, this role may work remotely from a state where Caribou operates with a preference for the Chicago, IL, Denver, CO or San Francisco, CA markets.*

About You
We’re looking for someone passionate about creating exceptional digital customer experiences. You are someone who:

  • Has 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on digital funnel optimization and conversion.
  • Understands the full digital marketing stack and how different channels (web, email, paid media, etc.) contribute to funnel performance.
  • Has demonstrated experience with A/B testing, user segmentation, and other experimentation frameworks to drive digital growth.
  • Is able to analyze large data sets and identify actionable insights that improve performance across the funnel.
  • Can collaborate with stakeholders across the business, managing trade-offs and prioritization to ensure the highest impact initiatives are delivered.
  • Has excellent communication skills and experience engaging senior executives, as well as evangelizing product strategies across teams.
