We are recruiting a well-rounded and experienced Regulatory Reporting Manager.  This role is an integral part of CBA NV’s Finance’s Regulatory Reporting team.

The regulatory reporting team is responsible for external financial reporting which includes the EBA suite of prudential reports Finrep, Liquidity and Corep and local and statistical reporting requirements such as ANACREDIT. You will be looking after business as usual reporting to ensure complete, accurate and timely delivery.

The team is also responsible for internal reporting where you assist in the reporting of solvency and liquidity ratio’s, risk weighted assets, large exposure monitoring and collective provisions to our internal stakeholders.

In this role you will work closely together with your 2 regulatory reporting Senior Managers and the financial controller of CBA N.V.  as well as with internal business stakeholders such as Treasury, Risk, Legal and the business front office teams.

As we are a subsidiary of a Sydney based bank you will work together intensely with IB&M Finance in Sydney.

Within a growing bank and a changing regulatory landscape you will support the IT Reporting product owner with data validation and acceptance testing with the goal to further automate the changing and developing reporting process where necessary.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  • Contributing to an accurate and timely delivery of all the Regulatory Reporting of CBA Europe NV
  • Maintain the Regulatory Reporting infrastructure so that it meets all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Positively contribute and collaborate with IB&M Finance colleagues and CBA Group stakeholders on a daily basis
  • Remain up to date with new relevant legislation and proactively drive timely revision to reporting processes (i.e. change management)
  • Create high quality standard operating procedures to mitigate key person dependency risk
  • Perform deep-dives regarding specific return items to identify potential errors and inefficiencies
  • Review and enhance all regulatory process and static data documentation.

Qualifications and skills:

  • At least 5 years experience in the preparation in regulatory (DNB) and statistical returns, including FINREP, Liquidity, COREP, ANACREDIT etc., for a fully licensed (wholesale) bank in the Netherlands
  •  Relevant Master degree in finance or business studies and a strong analytical mindset with the ability to apply commercial reasoning and constructively challenge stakeholders where needed
  • Ability to interpret (changes in) Dutch and EU legislation and apply and implement to CBA
  • Experience within a wholesale bank environment; knowledge of financial markets products is critical (MM, securities, swaps and other derivatives)
  • Self-starting and hands-on personality and ability to work under pressure, adapt and excel in a start-up environment
  • Experience with regulatory reporting tools and their data models (Adenza, WK etc)
  • English Proficiency and an unyielding integrity.
